Ferozewala Community Demands Justice After Officer’s Alleged Assault on Pregnant Woman Results in Tragic Loss

In a tragic incident that has sparked widespread outrage, a Punjab police officer is accused of causing the death of an unborn child during a raid in Ferozewala. The officer, identified as Sub-Inspector Abrar, allegedly kicked a nine-month pregnant woman while conducting a raid related to a suspected mobile phone theft. The brutal assault reportedly led to the loss of her baby.

The incident has left the local community in shock and anger. Protesters have gathered outside the Ferozewala police outpost in Kot Abdul Malik, demanding justice for the woman and her family. The protests have caused significant disruptions, halting traffic in and out of Ferozewala Sheikhupura.

Eyewitnesses reported that the police had raided the home of a local resident named Reza. During the raid, the pregnant woman was subjected to severe torture. Her family has accused Sub-Inspector Abrar of kicking her in the abdomen, which resulted in the tragic death of her nine-month-old fetus. Her health deteriorated rapidly after the assault, leading to an emergency surgery. Although she delivered the baby, it was stillborn, and doctors have confirmed that her condition remains critical.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Ferozewala has confirmed that the raid took place at Reza’s residence in connection with the investigation into a suspected mobile phone theft. In response to the incident, District Police Officer (DPO) Bilal Zafar has ordered a thorough inquiry, with SP Operation leading the investigation. The Sheikhupura police have assured the public that justice will be served and that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in this grievous act.

The incident has raised serious concerns about police conduct and accountability, with many calling for immediate reforms to prevent such tragedies in the future. The community continues to mourn the loss, while demanding that those responsible are held accountable.
