on invitation from the Communist Party of China, CM of Punjab set off for eight-day long high-profile visit to China. Her delegation consisted of senior provincial ministers: Marium Aurangzeb, Uzma Zahid Bukhari, Bilal Akbar and Ashiq Kermani. She is the first provincial female minister to undertake visit China.
On her arrival at Beijing Airport, Maryam received a warm welcome from officials of the Communist party of China. In her first official engagement, the Chinese delegation assured her that she will take Punjab to economics high with this new chapter. The Chief Minister highlighted the endurance of Pak-China friendship, “The relationship between our nations is touching new heights. With China’s cooperation, we aim to raise the economic and development momentum of Punjab.”
During her visits, she will be the part of number of conferences and events. She will also tour major cities including Beijing, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
This official visit aims to explore opportunities for cooperation to cement ties between Pakistan and China. She will interact with key Chinese ministers, officials and experts in various meetings. ‘This visit focuses on advancing healthcare system, improving education, fostering clean energy initiatives, promoting IT investments and addressing smog mitigation,” Maryam posted on X on Saturday.
