On Thursday, Punjab University students stormed the university after a student killed in shooting incident in broad daylight.
It is reported that a student named Ammar was shot by anonymous individual who ran from the scene. The wounded- student shifted to the nearby hospital but could not survive.
The spokesperson of Shaikh Zayed Hospital reported that the victim expired after being shifted to operation theater in emergency. The hospital reported three bullets hit the victim in chest, stomach and leg.
PU spokesperson claims that this incident did not happen in the premises of Punjab University. The Student Organization is spreading the false news. He also confirmed that the body of the student handed over to the police for postmortem.
The situation got tensed at university after this tragic incident. The students held protest in solidarity to the victim. They protested at campus bridge, blocking the underpass and the Canal Road, principal traffic route of city Lahore. The police are trying to clear the road.
The students condemned such heinous incidents and clashes in the boundary of the university and questioned the administration about the security of the students on campus.
